Deck the Halls

Decorating for Christmas was so fun this year!  It always makes the house feel homier, I love it!

And of course with Christmas comes the Christmas crafts!  I think I have over a 100 different Christmas ideas pinned, but I only tackled about 3 this year!  The first one was this super easy tree skirt.  I'm sure you've seen it in on Pinterest a million times, but I just love it with the burlap.  Adds a little country feel.

Another super easy project I did was these glitter styrofoam trees.  I mean it really doesn't get any easier than gluing glitter to a cone!  I think they turned out great, and you can never have too much sparkle!

Really the biggest project I did this year was the stockings.  I had a really hard time finding ones I liked in the store, and it was impossible to find any that matched our old set...so I started from scratch.  My original idea was to make them out of burlap, but all the fraying gave me more than a few headaches so I went with a really thick muslin instead.  I am in love with how they turned out.  I still need to stick the letters on, so hopefully before Christmas I'll get the motivation to finish them!

I found this advent calendar train on the Silhouette online store.  It was a lot of folding and gluing, but it turned out pretty cute and my son just loves trains right now so it was the perfect little addition.

I added a couple new signs to the decor and that's pretty much it.  I went really simple this year.

Now I can just sit back and relax.  All the shopping is done and the presents are wrapped.  Christmas here we come!
