This was kind of a weird year for us. We celebrated Christmas with my family last weekend so we really lost a week of Christmas preparation, plus now it feels like it's already come and gone!
Pretty much the only crafts I had time for this year was a simple gift for the wonderful teachers and a noel door hanger.
I hoped the noel sign would be a nice easy project to start off the season. My original idea was to use wooden letters and ribbon and to spell out JOY. I guess there are way too many people on pinterest in the DFW area because not one single craft store could spell JOY or NOEL in wooden letters.
Finally I found cardboard letters and decided to cover then in glitter and instead of ribbon I went with a gray chevron burlap for contrast. It wasn't anywhere close to what I imagined in my head, but I really love how it turned out. It's a nice change from the wreath we use each year.
For the teacher gifts, I needed something quick, cute and useful...so this is what I came up with: personalized soap dispenser, tea towel and cute little Christmas signs.
Everything fit perfectly into these little baskets I found at Target's One Spot. How cute are they?
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and joy and peace this season!!
